Obit is a web app that can run on any internet connected device; Desktop, Laptop, Tablet or Smart Phone. The link for Obit is https://app.obit.cloud/ (hint - in the URL box just start to type app.obit.cloud - you don’t usually need the https:// )
Wizard - We recommend that you use the Funeral Wizard button to start any funeral. It takes a little getting used to but it will save you multiple clicks and time..
Deceased - Write in Title and Religion possible - please spell carefully. Leave the Late Of box blank unless the deceased was known to have lived formerly elsewhere. Use the Notes function anywhere to inform colleagues of important decisions or issues.
Places - Don’t leave the Places section without double-checking - the times will be automatically pulled into the functions for Envelopes, Florist and Scheduling. Service date/time is particularly important - use the Use-As button and same times as Cremation or Burial if the service is being held at the same time/venue as the funeral.
Contacts - Client is mandatory, all others optional.
Orders - Don’t start until Places are defined (Tip #4). Use funeral templates where possible. Ask us to create a structured set of templates for you (it’s free).
Invoicing & Payment - stay in Draft/Quotation mode until everything is clarified.
Uploads - Profile Photo, other photos, relevant Certs/Documents.
Make sure you’re able to use the Help area/Knowledge Base - you can also ask questions or request a support session.
Condolences - If you are publishing notices and collecting condolences or planning on doing that, please ask us to help (it’s free too).
Obit Displays and Filters - the general screen is sorted by default according to the date the funeral was created. You can sort the display using the sort keys over any columns.
All filters are inclusive, so from Jan 1, 2018 to Dec 31, 2018 includes all funerals created in 2018.
