Obit allows you to create templates associated with any funeral type or branch/company.
The Template function helps to reduce the time needed in funeral creation by allowing you to include all elements of a funeral; Merchandise, Services, Arrangements and Disbursements.
In the Arrangements that you add to the template you can include detail of Vehicles Used, Viewing and Embalming rooms as well as Churches, Graveyards and Crematoria - you can even include assigned staff in a Template.
We recommend that you create Templates for the most commonly occurring combinations of activities and name the Template in a way that will make it easy for you to select the most suitable one from the drop-down menu, for example you might want to use letters or numbers to ensure that all Collection templates appear together on the menu.
How to use/import a Template - you can import the data from a Template anywhere inside the Orders function. Our recommendation is that you select the appropriate template right at the start of the funeral account creation process and then edit as needed. Click the Import From button and a list will dropdown showing all applicable templates.
Once clicked, Obit will copy the details from the Template into the different Orders sections. If you have entered the appropriate times (for Collection, Embalming, Repose, Service and Cremation or Burial) when creating the Funeral Places then these will be pulled into the Arrangements if you have defined them in the Template). All you then have to do is add/amend any missing/incorrect details as appropriate.
Hint - you don’t need an exact match - you can change any of the lines as normal so just use the best fit available.
You can edit the Templates for future use as desired at any point.
Tip - Don't set or change prices in the Templates you create
It is best to not change prices directly in Templates. To do this go to the Item and select change templates before saving - this will then change the price everywhere this item is used.
