Funeral Status Checklists can be used to customise Obit to work for your company. You can add as many as needed to reflect how you manage your funerals.
Configuring your Status Checklists
This requires admin privilege. To begin enter the Admin Area menu and then Status Config.
Note: The order of these entries is not changeable at this time so please ensure you enter them in the order you wish them to be displayed.
Each entry has the following fields:
Name | Description |
---|---|
Name | The complete name of the stage |
Short Name | A short 6 letter abbreviation which we'll use in the interface |
Valid in Types | All funeral types where this status check is applicable. e.g. If it's only related to Cremations you can select just that type, otherwise all types is the default. |
Show at Funeral Stage | You can have a status check show before the service (up to and including the day of the service) or after (immediately on the following day) or always. |
To begin with you will see one empty status check expanded. You should fill this in with your first Status Check. Thereafter click on the +Status Entry button to add new ones. You can use the Tick button to close completed entries and the Delete (bin icon) button to remove any unwanted entries.
When you are finished configuring click the save button.
Using the Status Checks
You should now navigate to any funeral to see how you can manipulate the status checks which appear in all the sections of the funeral just beneath the header.
Depending on the type of funeral and whether it is pre-service or post-service you will see a different set of status checks. To change one simply click on it and select the new status. You will see a prompt to add a message to the change. This is optional but allows you to add any notes which may help other staff members understand the current status change.
Activity and Notifications
Once you have confirmed your status change it will generate an activity recording the status change. Depending on how you have configured your Notifications it will also notify everyone listed as interested in this status. You can see who has been notified and who has read the notification if you go to the activities section of the funeral.
